Healey Lab

The Healey Lab focuses on translationally relevant basic neuroscience directly driven by clinical questions. Our work is designed and implemented to guide clinical research, facilitate innovative treatment development, and address hypotheses that clinical research cannot, with a special focus on the needs of the veteran population.  Currently, we are particularly interested in the role and function of astrocytes and microglia in the persistent effects of adolescent alcohol exposure on the brain and behavior.
